Resource Mobilization and the Sustainable Development Goals

WFWO recognizes that achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and advancing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development requires cooperation among governments, international organizations, financial institutions, civil society, businesses, foundations, academia, communities, and other stakeholders.

The EBRMTF therefore seeks to promote partnerships and innovative approaches to resource mobilization that can help support sustainable development initiatives.

The Sustainable Development Goals

The SDGs comprise 17 global goals and 169 targets established as part of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

They were adopted by United Nations Member States on 25 September 2015 as a shared framework for advancing sustainable development through 2030.

WFWO seeks to contribute to relevant SDGs through its programmes, projects, partnerships, and development cooperation activities.

WFWO Project Facility

The EBRMTF supports resource mobilization for WFWO’s Project Facility and related initiatives, including projects focused on social housing, employment and job creation, community development, and sustainable development.

The Task Force seeks to connect appropriate resources and partnerships with projects that can contribute to WFWO’s development objectives and relevant SDG targets.

Partnerships for Sustainable Development

WFWO recognizes the importance of SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, particularly the role of cooperation and partnerships in mobilizing financial resources, knowledge, technology, expertise, and institutional capacity.

The EBRMTF therefore works to strengthen relationships with potential partners and stakeholders who may contribute to WFWO’s programmes and projects.

Coordination and Reporting

The EBRMTF works closely with the Executive President and the WFWO Executive Board.

The Task Force reviews its priorities and activities periodically and provides relevant updates, recommendations, and reports to the appropriate WFWO governing bodies.

All resource mobilization activities shall be conducted in accordance with WFWO’s governance framework, applicable rules and procedures, and relevant legal and ethical requirements.

The WFWO Executive President and Chairman of the Board, together with the WFWO Executive Board, welcomes and recognizes the appointments of members to the EBRMTF Team for the 2026–2028 period, subject to WFWO’s applicable governance procedures.
